The Lima Class 156 Super Sprinter model is a finely detailed OO gauge representation of the British Rail Class 156 diesel multiple unit. Produced by Lima in the late 1980s and 1990s, this model captures the sleek, modern design of the real-life “Super Sprinter” units introduced for regional and intercity services across the UK. It features accurate body mouldings, flush glazing, and realistic livery applications typical of Lima’s craftsmanship from the era. While its motor and mechanism reflect the technology of its time, the model is a good representation of the class.
This model is unboxed but in good condition, there are one or two age related marks, please study the pictures carefully. It runs well in both directions and has had a light service and new traction tyres fitted.
The vehicle numbers are 52470 and 57480, only one vehicle has a set number of 156480 on one end.
