The BR Blue Pullman trains were luxury diesel-electric multiple units introduced by British Rail in 1960 to offer first-class, high-speed service between major cities such as London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Cardiff. Built by Metro-Cammell, they featured stylish interiors, full dining facilities, and a distinctive streamlined design painted in blue and cream. Although admired for their comfort and modern looks, the Blue Pullmans were expensive to run and had limited capacity compared to later trains. They were withdrawn by 1973, replaced by the more efficient InterCity 125s, but they remain remembered as icons of early British diesel luxury travel.
This listing is for a Triang power and dummy car, the power car has had extra pickups added to the trailing bogie and runs well in both directions.
